What a better way to celebrate my last birthday in Hungary then going on an overnight trip with a small group of good friends. We took a 2 hour train ride to Eger, Hungary. It was refreshing to get out of the city, it was far enough to where we felt like we were in a different country and forgot that we can still use our limited Hungarian vocabulary to communicate! We climbed one of the only 2 Turkish Minarets left in Hungary from when the Turks ruled in Hungary!
We had to get back to Budapest Saturday afternoon so that J could see her daughter before she left for the Jr./Sr. Banquet, but we didn't arrive home in time for her to get her own camera and so I went as the personal photographer.
(KKG Flashback anyone?)
