Spain Mid Year Conference (1 of 3)

Spain was not only sunny, but it was so refreshing. Though I didn't fit the traditional STINT (Short Term InterNational) person, most people served at an international campus and were with a team. Thankfully the others from Budapest were individuals also. One friend, Cori, who works at the Eastern Europe Regional Office, for CRU, here in Budapest. Then, Michelle, who is a new this year, is serving with the Hungary CRU ministry reaching out to middle school students.
HRX (our sending division at CRU Headquarters in Orlando) sent two girls to be our coaches for the week. Tiffany (Red Pants) was on STINT last year and split her time between ICSB and the CRU office. We didn't connect as much in the school setting last year as we did at the conference. It was a blessing because we were in the same 'boat' in that we were deciding what to do next year.

Corrie and I didn't talk about what flights we booked and we ended up being on the same flight out of Budapest.  We had a short layover in Paris and had to change terminals and so our luggage didn't make it. Thankfully there was another guy on STINT in Moscow who was on the same flight, and the airlines gave us a little overnight kit with a free t-shirt which Cori and I had a little fun with. It was hard because it didn't come until 43 hours after we landed.

The conference was at a hotel in Costa Del Sol, Spain. Although it was too cold to get in the water, the sun was so refreshing! It was neat to hear what God is other parts of the world. Each day we spent time praying for the various regions, and a common theme was for more men to step up as leaders, and for students that they work with to have a desire to reach their own people.
