Every year the school does a staff retreat after a few weeks in, and every 3 or 4 years they try and do a nicer location. This year it happened to be a nicer year and it was hosted at a hotel on the Lake Balaton. It's totally comparable to Lake of the Ozarks or Tablerock Lake, except imagine that it's the only piece of large water for a country that is landlocked. Temperatures dropped from the 80's to the 50's just in time for us to leave, and so it was cloudy and cold during our time, but it was still good to get away for a few days. It's refreshing to have fellowship with fellow teachers outside of school and to see some of our Hungarian staff with their spouses. I loved the worship times because we sang in both English and Hungarian, and it always gives me chills thinking this is only a fraction of what Heaven will be like some day! Below are some images from the weekend! You will find out more in my newsletter later this month!
